Abstract: This book is a collaborative effort involving national and local government agencies, NGOs, academics, and community workers who contributed to case studies on urban programmes. Using structured questionnaires and follow-up interviews, diverse perspectives were integrated and analysed. While the studies offer strong insights into programme implementation structures and processes, they lack thorough evaluation of impacts using international indicators. Despite this, the descriptive richness enhances understanding of how programmes evolve within national contexts. The Urban Management Programme coordinated the effort, with support from UNICEF and other UN bodies. Opinions expressed are those of the authors and not official UN or affiliated agencies’ positions.
