Abstract: We have pleasure in bringing out the second volume of the ‘‘ Catalogue of Maps in the Bombay Archives The first volume was published in 1979, it contained the cataloguing of the first batch of one thousand maps. This second volume covers the Cataloguing of next batch of four thousand maps, serially numbered from 1001 to 5000. The maps, here, are numbered according to their accession and not according to any kind of classification or division. The Bombay Archives has a rare collection of nearly ten thousand maps, plans, charts, etc. The third volume, we hope, will cover the cataloguing of the residue “of this collection.
