Abstract: The fifth volume of the *Working Paper Series* marks a significant evolution in its focus, building on its Goa-centric roots while exploring new frontiers. This shift represents a spiraling out from the familiar, as the series embraces diverse, contemporary topics such as land ownership, power and politics, mining’s impact on architecture, vernacular and movable architecture, and urban public spaces. These new areas of exploration require fresh energy and the willingness to go beyond established boundaries, though the pace may slow as new territories are charted. This process mirrors the dynamic tension between breaking free and staying grounded, much like a supernova explosion, where forces of expansion and gravity pull in opposite directions. The last year also saw the IIA Goa Chapter host a meeting of architects from Portuguese-speaking countries on the theme *”All World, Only One World: The Challenges of Cities and Housing.”* The collaboration with Goa College of Architecture helped make this event a success, and the reach of the *Working Paper Series* expanded globally to Portugal, Brazil, Cape Verde, Angola, Macau, and beyond, opening new avenues for research collaboration and reinforcing the series’ evolving international relevance.
