Abstract: The *Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) for 51 to 100 Bedded Sub-District/Sub-Divisional Hospitals (Revised 2010 – Draft)* offer a structured framework to enhance healthcare quality and access at the sub-district level. The guidelines cover hospital categorization, functions, services, infrastructure, manpower, equipment, and laboratory standards. They emphasize capacity building, quality assurance, patient rights through Citizen’s Charters, and community involvement via Rogi Kalyan Samities. Environmental safety measures like biomedical waste and mercury management, as well as seismic safety, are also included. Annexures provide detailed protocols on newborn care, referral networks, and blood storage, ensuring standardized and accountable healthcare delivery nationwide.
