Abstract: The report *Integrated Solid Waste Management Programme – Citizen Perceptions* by Priya Salvi, a collaboration between Save Bombay Committee and Hamburger Umwelt Institut, studies solid waste management in Mumbai. It examines current ineffective practices by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Bombay and highlights citizen-led initiatives tackling over 5000 tons of daily waste. Priya proposes a holistic, economically viable, socially acceptable, and environmentally friendly waste management model based on citizen involvement. Despite institutional apathy, her work showcases replicable solutions for urban centres. Her dedication and insights are commendable, and the study is recommended to both citizens and authorities for sustainable urban waste management.
