Abstract: Mumbai Reader 13 compiles thirty-two essays that explore Mumbai’s evolving social, spatial, economic, and political landscape. The volume addresses major urban concerns—heritage protection, planning reforms, congestion, slum redevelopment, FSI debates, and a growing stock of unsold housing—highlighting tensions between official development agendas and citizens’ lived experiences.
