Abstract: The *National Urban Policy Framework (NUPF) 2018* outlines a comprehensive strategy for India’s sustainable and inclusive urban transformation. It assesses key challenges and provides integrated recommendations across city planning, infrastructure, housing affordability, mobility, urban economy, governance, finance, information systems, and environmental safety. Emphasizing coordinated reforms, data-driven planning, and stronger institutions, the framework presents clear priorities and actions for national, state, and local stakeholders. Supported by annexed reference material, NUPF 2018 aims to build resilient, efficient, and people-centric cities, ultimately improving the quality of life for India’s urban population.
