Abstract: This study examines the history, culture, and identity of the Bene Israel, a Jewish community based in Bombay (Mumbai), India. It explores their religious practices, oral histories, and customs preserved over generations. The work also addresses their interactions with broader Indian society and the global Jewish diaspora, focusing on themes of integration and identity beyond communal boundaries.
