Abstract: *Thresholds 15: Creativity in Consumer Culture* (Fall 1997) explores the complex relationship between creativity and consumerism. It investigates how artistic and cultural expression is influenced, shaped, and at times constrained by the forces of a consumer-driven society. The book highlights both the opportunities and challenges presented by consumer culture, examining how creativity can be commodified, resisted, or repurposed within this context. Through interdisciplinary essays and critiques, it considers how design, media, and art navigate commercial pressures while fostering innovation. Ultimately, it offers a critical lens on the dynamic interplay between market forces and creative practices.
