Abstract: This paper examines the Vision Juhu initiative, focusing on the future development of public spaces in Juhu, Mumbai. It reviews the history of land development, including the 1991 Development Plan, and the Vision Mumbai framework. Key objectives of Vision Juhu include expanding public spaces to enhance residents’ and visitors’ quality of life. The study highlights sustainable growth, green spaces, and community involvement, reflecting the social, economic, and cultural impacts of urban planning. The “Juhugiri. Pyar Se” campaign symbolizes local engagement. Ultimately, the paper envisions Juhu as a model for integrating heritage with modern public space development.
